This engagement increases students’ understanding of Māori culture and opens new perspectives on health careers rooted in their cultural identity.

Cultivating Future Māori Leaders in Health

Through Whakapiki Ake Hui ā Rohe, students gain insights into the importance of health sciences and subject selection, encouraging aspirations and confidence in pursuing higher education and health-related careers. Additionally, these hui provide a supportive environment where students can discuss and plan their academic journeys, guided by the wisdom of their elders and health professionals.
